Light of Life Longevity® Exercises

The Light of Life Longevity® Exercises are a path to health and well-being. This new system originates with Howard Y. Lee, and is designed to be of benefit to people of all ages and levels of ability.

Comprised of a series of gentle movements and postures, this system is relatively easy to learn and a pleasure to practice. The various exercises in this system engage the body in a way that is both wholesome and satisfying. The various joints of the body are called upon to work together in a harmonious way, and mental presence and awareness becomes a seamless part of the practice. There is also a powerful and beneficial energetic component to this system which adds another dimension to the experience of the exercises, making it more like an “active meditation” rather than mere physical gestures.

The Longevity Exercises offer a way to maintain overall health and well-being in a safe and pleasant way. Those who come with no prior experience in movement or exercise will find this system welcoming and pleasant, as the exercises can be modified to suit one’s current level of ability. For those who have a history of athletic experience or other physical disciplines, the Longevity Exercises offer an intriguing and challenging routine which can help bring preformance in other arenas to higher levels.

In a time where a lot is changing, it is important to maintain an internal sense of balance and proportion. Inner quietude, though always important, will become increasingly so since it is this that helps us maintain our innate goodness and ability to make sound decisions. The simplicity, elegance, and efficiency of the Longevity Exercises make them particularly suitable to this time, helping those who practice to find comfort within themselves and with those around them. From a more balanced and detached perspective, our actions are less likely to be harmful to ourselves or others, and the beneficial and benevolent aspects of ourselves are magnified.

The Longevity Exercise system is not related to any type of philosophy or dogma. They are a quiet and powerful practice, one which leads the practioner first to a sense of wholeness and comfort, and then to intuit for themselves the best ways to adjust and change their lifestyle in ways that are conducive to overall health and well-being.

During a typical class, the majority of the instruction is geared towards making sure that the foundations for a safe and enjoyable practice are given in a simple and accessible way, and later bringing attention to some of the finer details within the exercises. Each individual is encouraged to develop at their own pace, according to their own depth of interest. Naturally, this will vary from individual to individual. As Howard Lee says, “you get what you put into it.” There is much to be discovered and experienced in these exercises, and each experience of them, whether in a group or private setting, is unique.

Each group or private class involves an immersion in the unique and restorative Cellular Rejuvenation energy. This energy field is created by the instructor who has been enabled to do so by Howard Lee.
